Tender turned 12 last week!!! Eek! And The Boy turns 7 this week! We are going to the Creation Museum for The Boy's birthday tomorrow. And on his birthday we are going to a Christmas celebration at the seminary. Otherwise, we are just adjusting to life with six kids and I have been able to get back into the swing of homeschooling and keeping up with chores. Lucius spends a LOT of time in the sling at home and out on errands. Robert is currently finishing his last final for this semester! Yeay!! And on another topic here is something I've been thinking about... Ministry opportunities for moms and their littles....this is a difficult thing to find. Because these years are so full of tedious never ending tasks. I know many mom friends who struggle with feeling like what they are doing isn't contributing to the Kingdom of God. This is a lie, obviously, but still a thought that keeps cropping up. We aren't in the mission field, we aren't preaching, rarely do we have the time to teach even a sunday school class, and sometimes even preparing a meal for someone in need is impossible! None of this should leave us feeling worthless. There are seasons when we MUST stay home and only minister to our children or husband. Even if that means our only ministry is getting them to bed on time. BUT I have a testimony for the times when our family has had some extra time for ministry but nothing too in depth. Every time I have prayed for the Lord to provide a ministry opportunity for my children and I together (because I was not in a season where I could minister away from them) He has thrust an elderly woman into our path. : )

I have had a heart for our elderly for years. My great grandma lived in Herington until her death and she would share how lonely she would get at times. I loved sitting and talking. Jacob was born on her 91 birthday and her favorite thing was us visiting and playing with him.
