Well, I could probably do more of an update, but I'm drowning and don't have the time! Sorry! Most importantly, Robert is doing a lot better, counseling is going great, and an elderly man at church who has a large farm has offered him a job as a farm hand full time! It's, obviously, drastically less than what he made as a psychologist! Ha! But Robert is gitty with excitement, as he thrives in manual labor! So we know it will be therapeutic and will provide for the family at the same time! We are very blessed! We are skipping trick or treating tonight and instead going to a big bonfire, chili feed, party at a friend's house! The kids are excited! We hope all our family and friends are doing well!

So Monday night I went hunting with Robert! We sat in the tree stand for a few hours and I read a book and Robert watched for deer. The next morning he wanted to go back out and invited me but I wanted to sleep in! Before the sun even came up he had two deer he had gotten with his bow! Above is where Robert and I packaged the ground venison! Our freezer runeth over. : ) If anyone is looking to sale a second hand freezer let us know! Sunday morning I woke up and was struggling and knew I needed to start the morning in the Word before the kids got up to distract me. I always know that is when I need to read but rarely do! I did Sunday morning only to be disrupted a few minutes later by The Boy waking up and coming to cuddle with me. He watched me read silently for a few minutes and then said he was going to get his bible and read with me. So I ended up side by side with The Boy reading the Word! It was so sweet I had to get a picture! Fun Tender story! We wrote a big family tree of Jacob's (or at that time, Israel) kids, grandkids, and great grandkids at the time of moving to Goshen! We are almost done with Genesis and so excited! Anyway, Tender was reading to me (to the best of her ability cuz there are some crazy names!) chapter 46 where it shares all the names while I wrote them down. Later we color coded the different generations! When we got to the list of Benjamin's sons' names there were two named Huppin and Muppin. So we stopped to giggle a little at those names and Tender sang off the top of her head, "Do you know the Muppin man, the muppin man, the muppin man? Do you know the Muppin man, who lives in Israel?" Oh we laughed! I like this family tree because it is literally the first Israelites! They started with these 66! The Boy has a busted up eye! He asked to play a game on Robert's phone and Robert tossed it to him and it accidentally hit him in the eye! Ouch! So then The Boy was saying that his daddy threw a phone and hit him in the face! Which sounded awful. So I kept explaining to him that it was an accident and that he needed to remember to explain that, as well. So when we were getting ready for his speech therapy I asked him what he would tell his speech therapist when she asked what happened he said, "I'll tell her it was an accident." Which of course sounds even worse! Like we trained him to say that! Which we did. Oh well! The kids are making a movie and The Boy will be a cowboy in it. So Hurricane made this horse for him to ride! I thought it was pretty impressive! Also, speaking of impressive, she has already finished her first grade math book. So now I gotta order her harder math curriculum! She's so excited!
Tomorrow we are having a "sort of" science fair with a couple other homeschool families and both girls are so excited! We went on a field trip a couple weeks ago to a museum in Wamego, KS. It was lots of fun and we got to hang out with three other homeschool families! The following pictures of from Touch-a-Truck this year. We went last year and it was a blast but we were daddyless! This year he got to come with us and join in the fun! If you made it this far then you get to hear our update. Please pray for God's grace, timely providence, peace, joy, and wisdom because Robert was relieved from his job. Basically what happened is this: he is still dealing with emotional issues from his deployment and these were effecting his ability to do his job. He started off okay but gradually declined and currently is not in a good place to counsel Soldiers or really help people at all. He is currently taking a break and getting counseling and trying to relax and stay away from people. We are prayerful about what we should do next. His previous job was ended on a good note with good references to be given and we have a little money saved up. So for now we are needing prayer about where God wants us as far as Robert's job. We are praying about paying off student loans mainly and trying to keep things low stress around the house. Which is hard. I am very tired and drained and the kids are really in transition with trying to understand as much as they are able. Blessedly, this week they are going to hang out with my parents so that Robert and I can relax. Well, mainly me! Such a blessing but its sort of a huge deal for me to be away from them for almost a whole week! Robert does not feel like talking to anyone. Feel free to call him but he will likely not answer the phone and you don't need to take that personal, he is basically treating everyone the same! ; ) Except me, he always wants to talk to me. And I will do my best to answer my phone when I'm able. God is good, He has a purpose and Job tells us that His purpose is NEVER thwarted! So we have no fear of the Lord screwing up. That is all! Thanks for the friendship and prayers!
