Last week we got to attend Souther Seminary's annual Fall Festival. It's a really big deal. They completely transform the greens into another land! Last year they did The Wizard of Oz and this year they did Adventures in Odyssey! Our kids are huge fans of the show! They listen to the audio of that show more than they watch tv so we were really excited! Early in the day on Friday I signed up the three oldest to create their own Adventures in Odyssey radio show! The girls were actors in the show and The Boy was a foley artist (sound effects). We got a copy of the short episode and everything! It was so exciting! And then later that night we went to the fall festival! Your ticket gets your dinner there and then there are all sorts of snack vendors too, for free. Unlimited cotton candy, funnel cakes, fresh fruit, suckers, grilled corn on the cob, snow cones, and cupcakes! Talk about a kid's paradise! They also had rides set up and about 20-30 bouncy houses! About half way through the night it started raining but that did not stop our family! There was a big scavenger hunt and at 8:30 a show with all the actors from the radio program! This was very exciting for my girls because they got to see the actors that play Eugene, Connie, and Mr Whit perform their characters live on stage! After the show my girls were first in line to get "Connie's" autograph and much to Tender's surprise she burst into tears over her excitement in meeting Katie Leigh. Katie Leigh was very gracious and hugged her and comforted her and I took advantage with my camera! I'll bet we walked 3 miles or so all night! My legs were sore. In other news, we are doing well. Things are slowing down into a good routine and we are thankful. I have most of my supplies for the birth ready and that is good because our Home Visit prenatal is this week!! I'm still working on freezer meals and such. Today I fixed the playlists on my phone so that my labor music is ready to roll. I have our "If mom is in labor and it looks like no adult is going to make it here in time..." list up for the girls for that slight possibility. Robert only has classes two days a week and I usually have early signs of labor so that is not likely but we want to be prepared for anything! I've included a picture of my pregnancy with The Hulk and this one for those of you that like to compare. There is quite a difference. I don't know if that means this is a girl or if I'm just smaller because of the amount of stress during this pregnancy and the fact that I went for two months without gaining weight at one point. I dunno, this baby is not taking up as much space. Yesterday I wore a pair of normal jeans and was able to button them!! I've never, in any of my pregnancies carried a baby high enough to button pants under my belly, no matter how low I wore the pants! So weird. Also, my heartburn (better described as acid reflux, or the feeling of needing to vomit fire) has been really bad the last few days. So bad. Last night after a suggestion from a friend I put some peppermint essential oils on my neck and the pain disappeared! Seriously!! How in the world does that work?! I slept all night without any pain! And I'm still good today. I've even eaten, and all food was causing it, including drinking water. It's a miracle. I am thankful. Such a simply thing, and to think, I was ready to run toward the Maalox! Glad I didn't! Okay, I gotta go, we are gonna make breakfast burritos for the freezer!
