Hello! We are still here and still waiting on our new family member. We just keep getting stuff done with the extra time. I trimmed the hedges yesterday and cleaned up all the clippings today. Robert mowed yesterday. We took the kids to downtown Louisville to look around yesterday and got to see the Louisville Slugger factory. We walked a couple of blocks just for fun. I successfully parallel parked our 12 seater van! I have finished all my classes for this term of Seminary Wives Institute and am just finishing a reading assignment and then I will be totally done with the assignments/quizzes. We were able to finish all the membership classes at our church and are now looking to schedule an interview with a couple of the elders. We joined a small group and got to attend that last Sunday. The Hulk is pushing up four molars! And he has a rough time with teething. So lots of snot and fussiness and lack of sleep. I got all the kids' dental cleanings done this week so that is one less thing to worry about!
As far as labor goes there hasn't been anything too concrete. I'm down to 5 days until my due date and out of the five kiddos I had already given birth to 4 of them by this point in gestation. I will have a day here or there where I'm very uncomfortable (like, more than usual discomfort for 9 months preggo) and crampy and baby is really low, with lots of really strong braxton hicks contractions. but then the next day everything feels normal and baby seems in no hurry. So I don't know! : ) I'm happy to have a healthy full term baby that gets to choose when he or she will be born. Experience shows me that I will not be pregnant forever so I don't need to worry. Anyway! Thank you for your prayers and love and the comments. I read those too. ; )

Melissa, she put essential oil drops in the box to make the patient relaxed and sleepy.

Hi Lindsey! Sending lots of prayers and hugs your way for a peaceful and safe delivery. I trust you have all the necessary essential oil recipes prepped for during and after labor...and for baby too. We always use diluted frankincense for the baby's belly button. And I'm positive that without my after birth peri-spray my recovery would have been much slower and painful. Congratulations on all your sweet babes. Sending warm hugs!

Lindsey, I'm so excited to see pics of your new little one. I can't help but think you were the first person I knew that had a home birth. I know that played a part in the decision to have our Annabelle at home in July. I was wondering, at what age did you start family worship with your first one? Please know that you are encouraging and ministering to me (all the way in Central Florida) through this blog. Prayers for your upcoming delivery!

Thank you Elizabeth! You are far too gracious. I'm sad to say that we have only been doing family worship (officially) for about 2 1/2 years. We would read to the kids occasionally before that but we started the sitting down at the same time every night, singing, and reading from the Word in 2013. I would say it's never too early to have baby present for learning from the Bible though. Hulk has been hit or miss depending on if he's already in bed and we haven't started really working on him sitting still during it. Just a little. I'd say within the next six months we will get more strict with that because they can easily learn when they are a year old to sit for a few minutes quietly. And it never has to be dumbed down for any child. We went through James several months ago. But we really like the Jesus Storybook Bible for youngers and The Gospel Story Bible is fantastic for any age!! (Even adult, I promise you'll learn stuff!)

We just received the Jesus Storybook Bible as a gift from church for her dedication. I guess now is the time to start creating a a good routine for her. Leave a Reply. |
