Okay, so it's been a while. Sorry! I'm gonna update anyone interested now.
Robert's back is still on the mend. He doesn't lift heavy things but is slowly getting there. He still sees the chiropractor once a week and suffers if he misses a week. Tender is doing well with her school work. We've made some adjustments in math in order to find the best way for her to learn and we are seeing good results. I think I wasted a whole year on a curriculum that was a joke for her, she didn't retain anything and so now we are still making up for that. But we've got plenty of time and God is so good in His grace for our home education. Hurricane is doing great with her lessons too! She also turned 8 last month! If the weather is nice she is outside as much as possible and lately the weather has been nice a lot. The Boy has really taken off in his reading lessons lately. We've found a rhythm that works for him and I'm surprised at how fast he is learning now. I've already developed a list of curriculum for his first grade year. Wild Man is mighty jealous of The Boy learning to read and even though he doesn't know all his letters, Tender has started teaching him some sight words and that makes him very happy and proud! The Hulk is six months and has started sitting, crawling, and pushing himself up to the seated position all in the last couple weeks. He also got sick for the first time last month and pushed up his first two teeth. He is so happy and loves his siblings very much! I have recently revamped our daily schedule and it is working very well. Also, much to our surprise, we have discovered that I am expecting again! We are all very excited and stunned! The Hulk is not happy with me because it has stunted my milk production. I am taking a huge amount of fenugreek (an herb that increases milk) and that has saved us! Lord willing we will have this new family member come October. And the kids are unanimously hoping for a girl! We are so blessed! I'm enjoying these little blessings God has given us so much. I'm so thankful for the blessing of getting to homeschool them because I can't bare the thought of not having them around all day! And now to count our most recent blessings. The huge, unbelievable ways God has provided for us! 1) Last year after Robert got fired and we were living in a camper because we didn't have a home, we had enough cash (by God's amazing grace) to pay off our 2011 12 seater van. 2) We found a rental home with everything we needed at the last minute before we needed to return the camper to our friends. 3) We started praying about what would be next for us. As the VA has supplied an income for the next five years because he got fired from being a psychologist because of deployment, we wanted to take the opportunity to get Robert some training to be a pastor. That is his true calling and hope! This week Robert was accepted to Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. The GI bill he earned during his Army career will cover every penny of the education! 4) In the past year a law changed with the Department of Education and as a result Robert has become eligible to have all his school loans discharged. That means that everything we owed for Robert's doctorate, which was about $100,000 is now paid in full. This is something we have very specifically been praying for (that the Lord would pay off Robert's student loans because we hate debt and so he can pursue ministry). As of yesterday we are completely debt free. So, at the same time that we found out that our land lord wants to move back into their house this summer we find out that we are moving to Louisville, KY this summer so that Robert can go back to school! We head that way on Monday to look at some houses and get a tour of the seminary. We will be moving sometime in May probably.
