We are staggered by God's grace this year. So many undeserved blessings, we can't count them.
Our little sweet baby boy is four months now! Someone hit the pause button please. There is a part of me that still can't believe we have another baby. I kept thinking he is smaller than The Boy was at this age but I looked in my records and found that Hulk is actually heavier by about half a pound than The Boy was (weighing in at 18'6). But the reason he looks smaller is that he is quite a bit longer! The Boy was about 25.5 inches at this age and Hulk is right under 28 inches, so his weight is stretched out a bit more. He is grabbing and rolling and laughing and smiling a lot! And his hair is definitely going to be some shade of red like his brothers but I think it's more like auburn? We are opening our house to any friends that aren't going home for Christmas today. So me and the girls are fixing to tackle more baking and cooking up some chicken noodle soup to share so I gotta keep this short. We are praying that anyone that reads this is firmly in the righteous right hand of our heavenly Father and shocked at his grace and love for them daily. In Him, The Coffmans'

We got back from our Thanksgiving trip about 12 days ago. We spent two nights in Arkansas, 4 nights in Texas, and 4 nights in Oklahoma. It was a successful trip but a long hard one too. The normally 7.5 hour drive home from Oklahoma took us 11 hours. Just to give you a peek into traveling with our crew! ; ) I always think that I will get to spend time with Robert on these trips and then remember in the middle of the trip how silly that is. We are both so busy doing necessary stuff with the kids and visiting with people we haven't seen in ages we might as well be in different states! Although we did leave all the kids with Robert's mom for about an hour to go get some ice cream, so that was nice! Hulk is still out of sorts from traveling. So he hasn't given me longer than three hours in between feedings at night and can't seem to sleep longer than 30 minutes at a time during the day. But as I type this he is taking a great nap! YEAY! I think he is finally getting back into order from the trip. I pray it's true anyway. People that have kids and travel with them know how much behavior and schedules gets all kinds of messed up when you get home. We've been working hard! Tender's 11th birthday was on Thanksgiving this year and The Boy turned 6 on December 4th. We had some friends over for him last Sunday and had cake. It was chaotic fun! I still owe Tender a dinner at Olive Garden, so we are gonna try to do that this week, just us girls. On Monday Robert injured his back. It was really sore all day Monday and then Tuesday morning he woke and could barely walk. He made a short notice chiropractor appointment but the doc wouldn't work on him because he felt like something serious might be wrong. So Robert ended up going to Topeka (the VA) and getting an X-ray and muscle relaxers. They scheduled an MRI and we took him to that on Thursday. We don't have results yet. He's been sleeping and resting all day since Tuesday and is slowly getting better so it's obvious he needed to take a break. He doesn't need the muscle relaxers or ibuprofen but it still hurts him a lot to walk or sit too much. Because we have such a great babysitter Robert and I were able to go on our first date last week! We went and saw Mocking Jay and ran to the grocery store. |
