Just a quick update on the last week in the house!
Last Saturday we went to a Colonel's house for an incoming and outgoing intern party. Robert was nervous! But it went well. All except that I made a double chocolate ooey gooey butter cake that I dropped all over the floor moments before we were leaving to go to the party! Had to just leave the oven door open with delicious mushed butter cake sizzling all over the inside and floor of the kitchen. Oh well. As soon as we got back from the party Darby started getting ill. It hit her hard, with fever, aches, nausea, chills, and lethargy. She threw up once thru the night but was nauseas for her entire illness. Slept nearly all day on Sunday, only to wake and nibble on something and take a drink, then she was out again. Sunday evening (after many homeopathic remedies, prayers, and an aromatherapy bath) she came out of it, I could see just by looking at her eyes that her fever had broke and she was feeling better! She stayed home and rested Monday but has been back at school the rest of the week. I'm praising God it was short lived, because Darby seems to feel things more intensly then Bryse and I do. She's like her daddy when she's ill! ; ) Everyone within a block knows it!! Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were busy with running errands in town. Jcak had his first Puppy Kindergarten class for obedience training on Tuesday evening!! We will be doing that for the next six weeks with him. And I Got Cal's pictures done. Here are a sampling of some of the better shots: And then Thursday we stayed home! (Isn't that what I'm suppose to be?! A STAY AT HOME mom? Why is it that I forget that and get busy doing sooo much else?!) Bryse and I worked hard all day catching up on what I hadn't done for a while, since we had been busy outside of the home. We did four loads of laundry, washed dipes, washed new fabric, cut fabric, ironed fabric, washed dishes, vacuumed the whole house, made babyfood (Cinnamon apples and oates) for Cal and finger foods (teeny steamed apples) for Cal, fruit salsa, cinnamon tortilla crisps, and a huge loaf of celebration braid bread. I meant to take a picture of Bryse with all of our foods that we prepared, but didn't get around to it. Today everything is basically caught up! So I'm doing this and then I'm hoping to go down the road and see if the Wal-Mart in Grovetown is finally open. Gotta pick up a few groceries because Robert invited the interns over for dinner tomorrow night!! Meanwhile, cute things the kids have done: -Robert caught Bryse peeing while standing on the rim of the toilet yesterday! Yeah. -Bryse calls our new swing set "sequiota" (*tear*). Which was the park we frequented the most in Springfield. -Cal seems to say "throw" now. Whenever anyone is holding a ball he says it over and over. Throwing also seems to be his favorite thing right now. He goes through toys just chunking them across the room and does the same with his pacifiers when he is winding down for nap. -Darby creates games for the family and kids to play on a daily basis.
