http://pinterest.com/pin/92323861082024408/ So to give credit where credit is due, there is the link to the pin on pinterest where I got this idea. I thought it looked super fun and easy and so we have started making one for each kid. We started with Bryse. Her and I spent a while reading bible verses that she likes and would maybe like to use on her canvas. She ended up wanting to write her own psalm about God. So she took pieces of her favorite verses and wrote this! For those that maybe can't read it well, it says:
"Cease from anger, Do not be afraid. Jesus saves us from our danger. The Lord is my Father, He is with me not matter what." Bryse's Psalm And for the paint, I only gave her primary colors and she had to mix to get any other colors she wanted. So there ya have it, Bryse's art work for her room!

This is a picture from when we first moved into the this house. It's of the girls' room. Several months ago we gave Cal the bunk beds and got the girls two twin beds. But we have always planned on tearing down the awful wall paper border and painting their room as well! Just so we know how big of a deal this is, let me explain something. Robert and I have never painted and prepared a nursery for any of our kids. We always lived in rentals where painting wasn't allowed and we never could afford to buy paint and such to do that type of a job. SO this was officially the first time that I painted a room for my kids! And I'm soooo proud! Darby's side! Notice that the color is pink because they picked. I'm no fan of pink, but I love my girls and that is what they wanted. ; ) Ugh. Bryes's pose. *rolls eyes* I put cork boards up for each of them so that they wouldn't feel the need to tape random things everywhere. Now they have a designated place for random things. I bought the little circle mirrors at the PX on base. Bryse has them too, but they are harder to see in this picture. So there it is!! They still need curtains that fit better but I'm gonna wait on a good deal on that. All three of us danced and celebrated tonight when I finished! Yeay!! The logisitics of this type of job is detailed and overwhelming, so I will just show off the pictures and let you imagine how I pulled it off with a walking toddler and three year old everywhere.
By the way, if any local fellas read this, my three year old desperatly needs some rough guy time! He's bouncing off the walls and could really use some rough play. I must've ignored him too much this week. I gotta make it up to him tomorrow. |
